The Lamarcki honey is derived from the Lamarck’s honeybee or the Egyptian honey bee, Apis mellifera lamarckii, a subspecies of honeybee native to the Nile valley of Egypt.

The Egyptian honey bee is (Apis mellifera lamarckii) is regarded as the ‘primary race’ from which all yellow honeybee races of Africa and the Orient are derived.
